I saw several W124's in my town before going to dealer. On those, the rubber and fender matched.
The service advisor saw another W124 on the MB shop's parking lot. They matched.
I asked to replace gasket only, but blinker and gasket were a set.

I hesitate about applying some material there because MB might have applied factory wax based rust proof and there might be incompatibility. But I am not sure, because the resolution of the pictures on MB service CD is poor.

Anyway, I feel that they did poor job. The lower part rubber is extruded compared to the metal below the blinker.
On other W124, the rubber is a littler recessed.

Thank you WANT '71 280SEL and samiam4.

The blinker was placed at body shop directly operated by the MB shop.
It is surprizing that they did not match it. The shop has Advanced CL Certification. I heard this MB dealer has good reputation for good service.

I asked another trim job at that shop, but I just cancelled it.

Another thing: on their invoice, it reads perform state inspection total $29. Today, however, I found my car having old sticker. They said they will refund $29. I think I met poor service advisor.
