I went to see a 95 E320 with 105K miles, immaculate visually, drove nice... I fell in love with it... price was right.... it was a at a well known Lexus franchise in town... I posted about it here and one of the users said, "my buddy is a tech there and the car has some problems, don't buy it". I was like, "wtf, the car looks great (I WAS PLANNING ON A PPI)" ...
.... I later asked my other freind, who's brother is a MGR at the dealershp... and he said, "its junk"...... granted I didn't buy the car, and would've been screwed, so much for your "if you need a ppi, you can't tell you drove a good car"... theory :p
