I've just bought it, so I don't know what it has has been up to, no service history after '93 (completely fell in love with the car)! But this is what my local mechanic has suggested may be the problem, the symptoms being: lack of power, getting through oil, lumpy idle and black smoke under heavy acceleration. Could it just be running too rich?
