Sure thing...Go to ebay and type in this item number in the search Item number: 2481004949 . These are IDENTICAL (KAE OEM) to the one in yor car now. There is an upgrade to this one (BEHR) but it does cost quite a bit more and you can only get it through a few sources.
As far as the filters go....The main filter must be removed to replace the regulator. Throw it away and put in a new one. Also, under the passenger side footwell there are additional filters. Replace those as well. I beieve I used my own filter material on those that I cut from 3M material purchased at Home Depot. It sounds as if your regulator may be overheating and cutting out but who really knows. Try taking out the filters all together before replacing the reg and see what happens.
My regulator actually didn't quit. I canabalized it off my W140 to repair my no longer available W210 Regulator. Long story..... The W210 regulator was stolen at the auto auction. The original W210 regulators are like gold because they are no longer available and you must purchase the entire $1000 setup.
