1 - Don't know. Sorry.
2 - If it was a case of too much voltage (and too much current as a result), then yes the fuses should have blown. It's possible they are blown, but look OK in a quick glance. Check 'em out closely and get newer ones if necessary.
3 - Could also be a bad alternator, or voltage regulator.
