Please suggest some trouble shooting steps to identify the alarm system error.

I leave the windows open in the summer - and would like the alarm to sound if some one unlocks the door.

This worked last fall.

Please suggest where the fuse is - noticed the fuse box suggested the fuse is out side the main fuse box.
