I hadn't heard of the 24v option but it would have added some performance to the car. Not that that was terribly important. Except in low end torque. When a 4-matic starts from a stop, it engages in awd and is very slow until the car has reached about 9 mph, at which point the 4-matic would dis-engage and behave much like any other 300E or 'TE. Anyway, if you want a rare MB model a 24v 4-matic would definitely be it. My experience, unfortunately, was that the car was a HUGE maintenance mobile, mostly related to elements of the front end wearing out. Repeatedly. I know of several owners that haven't had the array of problems mine did. But the possibility is that if the car wasn't problematic, it wouldn't be for sale….
Otherwise, why would one part with a rare MB?
