Snibble, if it makes you feel any better, my 126 front brakes were the eaiest brake job I've EVER done on ANY car I've worked on. They are about as straight forward as it gets!
NO 'gotchas' anywhere. Only problem I had was that the aftermarket pads I installed were slightly too thick and I had to sand them down about 1/16" (but obviously, this was not the fault of the 126 brake system.
