Lately (last week or so) I have noticed that the gear shift on my '89 300TE has lost its positive feel. Is there a spring in there that snaps it into position or some adjustment that should be made? It has gotten so "loopy" that I have to look down to see what position it is in. It goes in for service on Friday -- what do I tell the man, or is it something I can easily correct?
