Howdy All,
Here is a little history. Hot rodding got its start on the dry lakes of Southern California. They would come up from the L.A. area to Muroc dry lake which is on Edwards Air Force Base and here at El Mirage. Southern California Timing Association still has time trials on El Mirage dry lake once a month through the summer.
