It may be too drastric of a change, but I was hoping to find out if it was possible. If anyone has any specs, please share!
Reducing compression ratio will have downsides too:
* - Hard to start, heat of compression will be lower, resulting in need to glow longer.
* - lower efficiency, higher compression ratio is diesel's advantage over SI engines.
Why reduce compression ratio, only to have to pump air into the combustion chamber to make it work again?
