Mine is a 190E 2.3 8valve (Belgium) and it seems to have both plugs also. The EZL plug is a knob with two fixed values, marked "S" and "N", and presumably controls the timing.
The other is near the CIS_E ECU, and has 7 positions, marked from "1" to "7", it is set to "1" from factory and has a tamperproof wire.

Is there any official info available for that resistor? It seems to be very often confused with R16.
