I'm sorry this isn't a MBenz question but a Honda question

My sister has a 1991 Honda Accord (auto) and on the gear selector column, it requires great force to move the car out of park into another gear. From Reverse all the way down to D2, there is no problem what so ever. Also putting the gear into park requires a major workout also.

I've had two mechanics look at and were baffled by it.

Its on old car with about 130,000 miles and runs well in all other regards.
