In one breath you say we're on the wrong side of history for enthusiastically supporting despotic regimes while raping their natural resources and in the next breath you complain that we insist on democratization. How can we be supporting despots while interfering with their god-given right to love murdering dictatorships to force them into democracy? Do you have a stable position or should I introduce you to yourself so you can continue your argument without interference from outside?

When did it become bigotry to believe that gov serves people; that people have inalienable rights; that they should control the gov and not vice versa?

What empire?

The stable position is easy: get the hell out. We should be neither propping up fascists or imposing governments that will ultimatly fail, resulting in the return of ever more brutal fascist regimes. These people have to go through their own process of democratization, and we should butt out. Our concept of rights is in conflict with Islam. They have to figure that out, not us.
