Greg.............. on my own car/truck I would use the Cleaner which comes with the dye and then I would dye it. Pretty simple procedure. I haven't tried this stuff yet but I might in the near future. The Mothers Back to Black works great, but it doesn't last. I haven't found a cleaner yet that pemanently removes the wax on black rubber/plastic.
