Has anybody had any luck in getting a plastic tank radiator rebuilt?

It's radiator time for my '82 300sd, and a local ( very good) radiator shop can do the rod out and new plastic tanks on my old factory radiator for $117.

Should I go for it, or bite the bullit and buy a new one?
