That means all of us will be on some medication one form or another.

My doctor wanted to to go on the "pill" two years ago but I refused. I bought my number down to 198 from 300 through diet and exercise (red meat once a month, and exercise 6 days a week for two hours each day). Guess 198 is still not low enough based on the new recommendation. However, I believe as long as you exercise daily and keep your diet in check, those numbers may not mean all that much. Who to say there won't be a report that the "pills" are more harmful than the LDL ten years from now? I just don't believe medications can solve all ills without some form of averse effects. Everything in life is all about balance. But hey, I am no doctor either.
