Actually looks like we're going to get a little bit of relief for the weekend. A weak cold front, some clouds, and winds out of the North-East are supposed to keep temperatures in N. Texas in the low 90s Saturday and Sunday. May not have been the worst weekend to work on the car...

Larry - You may need to acquire some o-rings to replace the heater core. The hot water supply and return pipes bolt to the heater core and are sealed with o-rings. Not sure if they're of the corner store variety or not. You'll want to have them on hand to avoid surprise down time.
