Pulling the instrument cluster is pretty easy - the hardest part is pulling the steering wheel. Once the wheel is off you carefully prise the cluster out. Once the cluster is in your hands, getting the bulbs replaced is really simple, providing you have the right bulbs, and enough of them. You won't find those bulbs at the autoparts store, AFAIK.

The glovebox and courtesy lights are available at the larger autoparts places - they come in two flavors, 5w & 10w, just pull the old bulbs and take them to the store with you. It is likely that the bulbs have failed if those lights are not working. It seems I replace several of those per year.
