Sounds like some funny business to me.

Used parts should not be sold at much more than half of list price for new. I'm not sure I would ever use a used condenser. any way the list price for the rad is 550 for new at MB the condenser is 560. I presume the used prices include the 25% mark-up (that is cost plus 25% real business people consider 25% mark-up to mean 25% of total price - a different amount).

As long as you realize that you can no more ask the body shop to sell at cost than you could Sears, then you can probably get this accomplished. You will still be facing the warrantee issue.

Since there is NO WAY you can indemnify the shop from warrantee/liability, it is a large hurdle. It is the number one reason I generally do not install customer supplied parts (except for good customers on a one time special reason basis).
