I retired from rugby about 10 years ago after a bit less than 20 years of playing that marvelous game. Most of the stories you’ve heard about rugby players are half true.

Every year at season’s end we’d have team banquet. We’d get pretty much dressed up (or at least presentable) and the gals would clean up real nice. We'd rent a local yacht club for the event. We’d pat ourselves on the back for a great season (it was a very good club) and pass out awards. In the early 80’s some of us wilder sorts decided we’d institute the “Coyote Award”. Awarded to the player who'd bedded the most appalling woman (they didn't seem appalling at the end of the drink up.)

Yep, the left arm of a mannequin. Engraved plaque with the prior winners and a newbie added each year. Winning never led to a divorce, but there were some amusing scenes on a couple of occasions.
