I actually points up why I like gridlock. At least one house of government, whether its the Senate or the House or the President, should be of the other party, simply so we can have someone who will investigate instead of coverup and their conclusions can be compared against the other governmental organs. One of the things that has this country in such an uproar is all the uncertainity caused by all the coverups and suspicion of coverups going on.
