Car is a 1997 E320. On two recent occasions, when there was plenty (but different amounts) of fuel in the tank, the low fuel indicator started blinking.

In both cases, this cleared when the engine was stopped and re-started. Does anybody know if this is indicative of a problem? On both occasions the car had been run about 15 miles from a cold start in moderate weather. Thanks in advance.
