ABS was aparently offered on some of the wagons in Europe.
ABS was also offered on the W126 which shares the same front suspension (spindles anyway) so that system should theoretically bolt up.
But the trouble is the ABS cars had a sensor on the differential (it was only three-channel ABS) and those diffs are only available in really tall ratios. So unless there's a good way to put the sensor ring on the other diffs, the number of cars that could be retrofitted is pretty small.
