Hi,
I have a 1996 C280 with unmodified suspension, but it was recently repaired from an accident. The rear suspension was replaced (both shocks and few other components) and the front shocks are original and the car has 75,000 miles on it. It has SLK stock rims with 205/55 up front on 16x7 and 225/50 16x8. I have found a oringal set of 4 H&R springs for sale on E-bay for $100. I have heard this guy is shady with regards to selling rims that made the buyer upset because he didn't get what he wanted. Anyways, $100 is a good deal on springs. Keeping in midn the suspensin status of the car, would it be a good idea to lower the car? It should corner and perform better, but is there anything I should be weary of? Also, how much should I pay for installation and 4-wheel alingment? Please advise on the issue such as is it worth it, will car ride bad or too harsh, etc?
Thanks,
Troy
