I saw it saturday and enjoyed it. I think shyamalan tends to do this to people... either you dig it/get into it, or you dislike it immensely. such is life!
It's a love story, which gets obscured by the other stuff. I think it was entertaining and much better than the same old homogenous crap and remakes / sequels that are clogging up the cinema this year.
Of course, I had things solved pretty quickly... so the detail of the set-up was more interesting... and still a fun topic of discussion later.
The lighting/ framing of some of the shots was amazing, and the musical score contributed in a powerful, subtle way.
If you were wasted... why not go see Harold & Kumar go to Whitecastle?
