i have a '98 230SLK.

went to have an aftermarket deck installed...
installer told me there is an amp that drives the rear speakers in my car. i have traced wires and can find none.
is it in the factory head unit?? or up in the dash somewhere i can't see ??
can someone pls help. thanks
