You don't want air in the system,it won't kill you but the system just won't be as efficent. The best way to bleed it is to refill the resovoir then run the engine and turn the wheels lock to lock a couple of times (you should see little bubbles rise up) then top up the fluid. Its proberly worth going for a quick spin and then checking again.
