silicone = bad for vinyl

hi, just thought i mention that silicone is not good for your dash. it removes the plasticizers from vinyl that can lead to cracks in the dash. and i already assume that you would not use silicone on your leather. that will create a problem there because it draws out the oils and whatever makes the leather soft. it will turn to a drum tight and will crack.

this very topic was discussed in detail last week on this forum. do a search on silicone. that should bring it up.
