Talking W123 300D for $500

Going to look at a 123 300D this afternoon, guy says body is excellent, new engine 145,000 miles back , auto, sunroof, new battery, hub caps (1 missing), interior in good shape (?). I was thinking about a parts car, but it's brown so interior would not match mine and most machanicals would not swap with my 83 240D. So I am trying to find a fellow forum member a car.

If it looks like a good car, I will buy it and save it for someone here who would like to come and get the car, all I will charge over my cost is a enough to cover my time and effort, $100, or anything of trade I DON'T need. This will cover picking you up at the airport or whatever. If you are bringing a truck or trailer, the fee will just be $50 for my help. Any minor work needed to make road ready (if this is a good car), such as oil & filter change, could be done in my garage with my tools if you are driving car home. If I had a 123 300D you would not be hearing about this local car.
