Hello all,

I have resoldered the cruise amplifier in my 1986 300SDL but it still doesn't work. This unit is the 14-pin style with the "mustard" yellow plastic end piece. I don't have the exact part # off the unit in my SDL but I believe it would be 003 545 86 32.


I am able to get another unit which came out of a 1985 W123 300TD. I know these are significantly different cars, but the unit is also 14-pin, has the yellow end connector, and looks exactly the same. The part number on this unit is 002 545 91 32.

Will the W123 unit work in my car?
