ADS stands for adaptive dampning system. It was an earlier attempt at a hydraulic suspension setup (the precurser to ABC). It was really only seen on the S,CL and SL 600's. The resovior for that system was right behind the R headlight, and made it an absolute bear to pull the headlight to access the headlight wiper motor.
