need info on replacing subj.cable on my 84 300D turbo MB. today I drained and dropped pan but didn't see anything but valvebody . I presume it has to be dropped to hook up linkage??? thanks 4 any assist. given. I put pan bacxk on, put fluid back in 4 now. still works sort of. the old cable sheath separated from plastic adj. nut. Bubbazook2
