240d hostility
Today I was accelerating, floored to the dots off a stoplight on a 55mph road and I was tailgated and flipped off by the driver behind me in some Honda POS. This is probably the 4th time it’s happened (all in CO, that’s another thing I’ve never been flipped off driving in CA, only by these hostile CO people). People will slow down to let me in as I’m trying to gain speed to merge onto a road and then honk at me because I’m going slow, I mean…is there a bumper sticker that says like “Chill out, I’m flooring it!”
I was wondering if anyone else gets this? At sea level the 240d is faster so maybe it’s just not as much of an issue but up here at 5,300 feet it’s just bad news. I usually try and stay in the right lane all the time and TRY to be courteous, but that can’t always happen. Also, I drive a bus, so I’m used to going slow and pissing people off, but when I’m pedal to the metal and get flipped off, I get mad. I tried to get the guy to pull over so I could murder him. Anyway, does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Maybe it’s cause I have CA plates in CO.
