Ok, I've done some research on the topic and I'm thinking perhaps it's a problem with the ignition module/EZL. If I jump the grn/yellow TD signal to fuel pump/tach relay to the X11 #4 (coil ground) pin, the car runs (but since the signal off the #4 is not 4 pulse/min the tach is way off). The fuel pump realay just sits and reads a pulse to stay on so the neg signal from the coil works to keep it on. I'm thinking perhaps something has shorted in the EZL since with the tach signal redirected it idles fine and runs ok up to about 2,000-2500 (? form the sound of it ?) and then the rev limiter kicks in intermittently, which it shouldn't be doing. As far as the schematics go, the car should only really have a problem with the tach reading but should run normally if just the tach section of the EZL were cooked. I'm thining the whole EZL is toast. Any body else experience anything like this? Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.
