I wish I had a digital camera, the next investment. I built a 17' x 17' raised bed garden this year and had great results. Zuchini, cucumbers, sugar peas, and Kentucky pole beans in the big garden plus multi-variety peppers in pots surrounding the top. Large patio pots that contain tomatoes, peppers, and sweet corn(an experiment that worked only with lots of attention).

I eat as much as possible, supply my parents who do not garden much any more and give a lot away. I have been know to chase my neighbors down the alley with zuchini in my hands. Not a pretty sight!

My parents were of the WWII era and a garden, even a small one, was considered to be a help in the war effort. I guess the name Victory Garden came from this effort. As long as I can remember as a child my father always kept some sort of garden going. As the houses got larger so did the garden. I learned a lot from that man!
