We have a 2001 C240 which has developed an intermittent problem of not opening when the key/remote is pressed. We went through all the usual things with the remote i.e. batteries testing etc apparently no problem. At the beginning even if the car was opened manually the vehicle on occasions would not start and at other times it would. We replaced the SAM unit and it seemed to do the trick but after two days it would not open again. This problem seems to usually occur in the mornings. The vehicle is not garaged. Zimbabwe does not experience extremely cold conditions.

Can any one suggest what we can look at next. Many thanks
