Changed the left rear tire on my 74 450 SEL and noticed that the
rubber flexible bellows on the left axle was completely torn.
The Haynes book said to replace it you have to take out the
axle on that side. From my old VW days I remember VW had a
two piece CV boot you screwed together so you didn'thave to
dismantle the axle. Since nothing else seems to have happened
yet, is there any 2 piece part available, or does anyone know
how to change this w/o disassembly?
