If you have a wiring diagram, you should be able to just scotch-lok into the wires you need in behind the firstaid kit. I don't see exactly what your question/problem is. It's not really what I personally would do, but if that's what you want to do, what's stopping you? Do you need advice on running the wires or what? There is a small converter box that gets installed, this may be to convert the stop signal, like what's used on other trailer light setups, I can't see where this would create a big problem, just get a generic one.
