I have been driving 16v's for over 5 yrs straight as everyday drivers, I also just got a C36 AMG a 95', like you i saw how cheap these cars are becoming and how rare, i had to pick one up , I found a one owner with 100K for 11K , it is in 9/10 condition,
first thing with the C36 ITS NO 16v, the 16v bangs corners and stops much more stable and perdicable then the AMG, 16v is more fun and just has fast too .0-60 top speeds , the positive side to the AMG to the 16v is all the AMG parts all over the place to look at ,the makers signs are everywhere, (very kool

) it 10 yrs newer and things arent breaking and squeekin like the 16v, the interior is almost the same, and traveling sppeds are the same too , I would go for it, A newer mercedes really isnt worth getting unless it AMG
,
