The mechanic won't tell you his secret because if it was like my 16V ... I unplugged all the connectors, cleaned them, plugged them back in and my idle/stalling problem was fixed. I have no idea which connector was giving me the trouble.

Re the 7/6/5000 rpm I agree with the previous post. If the exhaust is okay, drive it without the air filter, and check the fuel filter.
