It sounds like a euro, that means it has more power than the US cars!
My advice is to do a search and learn a little about this model. MB are different animals from most other cars but are simple to work on. I would sudjest starting out by changing all of the fluid's and filters. You should also use only quality German filters. Also you probably have a power steering filter, that is usually never changed, most people don't know it is in their. Fastlane can sell you the fuses, I replaced them all on my SDL and some things started to work better mostly lights. They come in packs of 10 I think it was like $3 for all of them
