Well..., I found it and it was. But......

When I dropped the kick panel and D/C'd the cruise, the brake lights went out. They worked with the pedal, but when the cruise computer was re-conn'td, the lights came on again.

Took the unit apart and found a few traces that were jumped with solder. Fixed those, re-soldered the rest of the joints, re-assy'd to car and voila', all better. Cruise now works and so do the lights...., when they're SUPPOSED to!
