Changing the harmonic balancer this weekend and have a few questions.
The car is a 99 ml320 that is a very early 99, with 105k on it.

1. Do i need to remove the fan? If i do, and i think i do to get the balancer holder tool on, how do i remove it? Do i remove the bolt around the outer edge of the fan on the outside or does it remove from the pully some how?

2. When i torque the new bolt i am going to go 250ft/lbs on my torque wrench and then put the breaker bar on and pull it anothre 95 degrees. Is this the right thing?
