New user - have searched all through the threads for a post providing some help - if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it:

While carefully prying the battery compartment open on my 97 S420 (factory installed) keyless remote, I somehow ended up with a handful of parts in my hand. I have no problem putting everything back together, but I apparently have to "wind up" that spring that makes the key flip out.

Any suggestions on how I do that?

If I could get the two sides of the black case apart, it doesn't look like it would be a problem - are they supposed to come completely apart?
