I used to play with some big black ones when I was a kid (never stung), but these bark scorpions seem to merit a whole different level of respect. I've read that more deaths in the U.S. have been attributed to bark scorpions in the last 100 years than all snake bites combined. None since AZ State U developed an anti-venom.

I bet you still take an occasional peek before you have a seat, don't you?
