Yes - they shot me up with atropine after I got bit, and the actual affects of the bite went away in about 48 hrs. It was some kind of deadly staph bacteria usually found in wilderness areas. They had to try all kinds of different anti biotics until they found something to kill the nastard. That particular refugee is a dangerous place for stuff like that - bubonic plague, rabies from crazed bats, all kinds of things like that happen there. It is one of the wildest places left in the US.
