I am confused.

The theory of the dashpot is that you connect it to mainifold vacuum source. The vacuum holds the actuator away from the throttle lever. When you turn the AC on, engine RPM's drop and vacuum drops, and the actuator pushes on the throttle lever, increasing the RPM's a bit.

So I am not sure what you are talking about with electrical current.
