am I going to find it easier to just replace the compressor or can I find this speed sensor very easly? The speed sensor your refering to, dose it have a magnet inside it? I haven't taken the compressor off yet but from what I can tell it looks to have a magnet inside it then surounded by some kind of porclin like materal.
I can't tell how far it goes inside the compressor, being that it is broke off. You mentioned that the speed sensor shouldn't actually touch anything so if it's broke off, like mine is then the main shaft has moved back in the bearings until it has hit the speed sensor?
The compressor wasn't making a whole lot of noise, I thought it was a little worse than nornal, but at low rpm's it was barley noticable.
