I noticed that my horn will not sound when the upper right corner of the airbag is depressed. Upon further investigation, I found out that there is a small gap between the airbag and steering wheel when compared to the other side of the airbag (see attached photos).

Before I take it apart for repair, what part(s) has failed since this is my only transporation and I don't want to be stranded at home if I can't get it fixed.

Are the instructions for removing the steering wheel (3" long Torx screwdriver size ???) applicable also?

p.s. What is that small capped button that is below the accelerator pedal? Is it a kickdown switch or something??
